Lake Ronkonkoma Heritage Association has supported the established
Lake Ronkonkoma Tradition
of the December 7th Moment of Silence
for many years.
A handful of people, early in the morning at exactly 7:48 am, gather at the World War II Memorial Tree, pause and listen as the Ronkonkoma Fire Department blasts its siren to remind us of what really happened that day.
